Microsoft then automated each browser to perform the same series of activities: opening websites, scrolling through articles, and watching videos, opening new tabs for each task. They used the same websites you spend your time on – Facebook, Google, YouTube, Amazon, Wikipedia and more. For these browsing activities, their tests show Microsoft Edge is a more energy-efficient browser on Windows 10, with up to 36%-53% more battery life, the stats are nice but i find it desperate Real Life Stats - Windows still collecting data Microsoft even went ahead and made public stats which they have gathered through Windows 10 Users (that's what we know of , i wonder what else they have collected , everything ? ). Microsoft measure aggregated telemetry from millions of Windows 10 devices around the world. The billions of data points from these devices are consistent with the lab results as per Microsoft as we can not know for sure : you can read what Microsoft has to say Will you change your browser based on these stats ?
