Fifteen years ago, on 1st April 2004, Google released its long-awaited web email service “Gmail”, which became one of Google's best product. The Gmail team has announced Smart Compose and email scheduling features to celebrate its fifteenth birthday and maybe to make you forget the end of Google+ shutdown. Smart Compose Improvements Now Smart Compose will be able to change how you send greetings in your emails when you type them. Smart Compose will learn this when you prefer "Hey" to "Hello". If you often worry over which subject to use for your emails, then there’s some relief here for you, too, because Smart Compose can now suggest a subject line based on the content of your email. The update now includes Smart Compose on all Android devices as well while iOS is soon to be supported. Smart Compose will also be available in four new languages: Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Smart Compose on Android Schedule Email All of this is very useful, but the essential feature is the scheduling of email. Here's just how simple the idea is. Now you have a drop-down menu on the "Send" button, which allows you to schedule for a later email. Before this, a third-party services is required to schedule an email, but now it's integrated directly with Gmail. Email Scheduling (Source: Google) Google has made the new feature a digital wellness tool. Jacob Bank, Director of Product Management, G Suite, said, We want to make it easier to respect everyone’s digital well-being, so we’re adding a new feature to Gmail that allows you to choose when an email should be sent. Google also recently announced dynamic, interactive and actionable features for Gmail to take quick on email such as responding to comment thread, fill out form or scheduling a meeting.
